Single and Double Drop Impingement on a Heated Plate CFD and Experimental Investigation

چکیده

A drop impingement on a hot surface is known as an effective way for heat removal. The present work uses VOF (volume of fluid) model to simulate the flow behavior and temperature distribution 50 °C heated plate while relatively cold water impinging. at zone used examine transient transfer coefficients using single double drops conditions. spreading factor tested in both cases. test rig built verify balance method introduced find experimental heated. CFD solution its results gives good agreement previous results. condition show high tendency rebound splash leaving central without coverage which causes burn out case fluxes. symmetrical lower value with non-uniform unsymmetrical specially bigger distances. average low error only 5% when compared values.
